Here are some semi-rare D’angelo covers recorded during the Voodoo sessions. Yes Voodoo is one of my a favorite albums of all time… master teacher status. Legend has it that these covers were recorded as a way of warming up for the crew during the recording process. These are all cover songs that have been sampled by some of your favorite hip hop artists. My favorite is Superman Lover…. enjoy!!!!

The record was put out last year , please go and support  Breez Deez Treez . Noordeman was the producer of the film. The filmmaker  printed 100 frames of video at a time so he could carry the printouts around with him, sketching the individual frames in pencil whenever he had a chance. Noordeman then transitioned to to brush-painted animation, while his partner Christie Wright conceived of an animated ink-drawn line to tie the different elements together. The result is a mix of live-action and hand-drawn. Which came out real cool … check it out for your-self

Romain Gavras is a French director , have created short piece like  Jus†ice, Stress… he is a new filmmaker that have the buzz.  His style is violent with powerful images and gruesome content. If you are a fan of Schindler’s List you are going to like this short. It’s a  brilliant piece of work.

Trackademicks is one of my favorite new producers to come on the the scene. His remixes for Keisha Cole, Raphaell Saddiq, Pharrell in this series have been some of the best I’ve heard in years. I got a chance to meet Trackademicks at the Foreign Exchange show last year during CMJ, and he said this project was in the works. Track’s blend of electro, hyphy and funk are on full display here.
